Big Brother contestant Josie Gibson has revealed she was heavily involved with drink and drugs before she entered the Big Brother show.

The Bristol lass, who went on to win Big Brother 11, explains her close pals would sit and cry as they begged her to change her ways, but she would not listen.

Josie, 26, said: ‘The Big Brother show saved my life.’

‘I was on the road to tragedy and the people who loved me knew I’d lost control.’

After months in the BB house in 2010, Joise has vowed to never touch another drug again as long as she lives.

‘Once I stayed up for 9 days, with no sleep at all, on a bender,’ she recalls.

‘I broke my arm, had my laptop stolen, crashed my car and had my windows put through by someone I refused to open the door to.

‘My life was in tatters.’

After the announcement in 2010 that Big Brother would end after 11 years, Channel 5 brought the rights and the new BB series is scheduled to start this August – With previous winner Brian Dowling replacing Davina Mccall as the presenter.
