There is great news still for Amy Winehouse fans. Her last ever recorded duet with American Tony Bennett, called Body And Soul – is to be released as a charity single to make money for a foundation in her name.
Tony said the soul singer ‘sang beautifully’ on the track they recorded together. He added: It’s for a foundation that her father started to teach all the young children not to take drugs, and all the royalties of the record will go to just that.’
The Amy Winehouse Foundation, was set up personally by her father Mitch and family, and will try to successfully help many young people suffering from various events in their life.
Mitch Winehouse, 60, is also powering ahead with plans to launch residential rehabilitation centers – after Britains’s only NHS funded center for young people closed last year because of government funding cuts.
Mitch is hoping to operate from Amy’s former £2.5 million Camden Home.
Meanwhile, Amy’s family recently flew off for a 10-day break so they could all grieve for their loss privately.
The family are still awaiting the results of the toxicology report, which will confirm the actual cause of Amy’s death.
