After a tumultuous three year relationship in the public eye, Spice Girl Geri Halliwell and her aristocrat boyfriend, Henry Beckwith, have finally called it quits.

Their dingy of love has been caught up in several rocky storms recently, but now has finally capsized and according to insider reports, it was Henry that pulled the plug.

“Henry ended things,” says a source close to the couple. “He grew tired of Geri’s demanding ways and needy nature and her bouts of jealousy.”

But who came blame ginger spice for being slightly on edge after boyfriend was caught out on two separate occasions cosying up to mystery women?

“Henry was quite down in the end. He was painted as the sole culprit, but they are two sides to every story,” continues the pal.

Fast approaching her 40s, the singer has found it very difficult to come to terms with being on her own and is worried that her romantic future is looking unnervingly bleak.

Despite enjoying a lavish 39th Birthday celebrating in London with her closest pals, Geri painted a lonely figure in the South of France last week with her daughter Bluebell, five.

“Geri’s despairing,” reveals a close friend. “Her next birthday will be her 40th, and she’s convinced that her dream of a big white wedding is over. She’s worried she’ll never be in a successful long-term relationship again and will never be able to give bluebell a sibling.”

Unfortunately Geri has not had much luck in the love department since the birth of her daughter, whose dad is thought to be the director of Sacha Gervasi.

She dated dancer Ivan Velez for six months, then got engaged to Italian millionaire Fabrizio Politi after just a month together, but they split up just three months later. And now, Henry has left the nest.

Fingers crossed her ‘real’ Mr right is just around the corner…
