The Slumdog Millionaire couple may be stronger than ever, but that does not mean there isn’t trouble in paradise.

The pair, thrust together after falling for each other on set of the Hollywood blockbuster, may still be head over heals for each other, but Freida Pinto confesses she still struggles with their long-distance romance.

Admitting that she sadly feels torn between living with her boyfriend Dev Patel, 21, in London and experiencing the glamour of new York, the overseas relationship can put a dampener on their young love.

In a desperate bid to feel close to one another, the couple often turn to Skype to catch up and swap love notes, but even that is no replacement for the real deal.

“We use it a lot – and we hate it as well!” says Freida, 26.

“It’s like a tease. I also feel it’s the pressure: ‘Oh my God, he’s seeing me after two weeks. I hope my hair is OK.’ It’s just hideous. I think even the most beautiful person looks stupid on Skype.”

 

We find it hard to believe that even a grey fuzzy internet camera can make the actress look anything but pretty.
