Devil Wears Prada actress Anne Hathaway has revealed she is thankful for Duchess Kate Middleton for making ladylike style fashionable again.

Hollywood actress Anne, 28, loves to feel elegant and sophisticated, and views Kate as a style icon she can take inspiration from.

‘She is such an advocate for dressing like a lady,’ Anne explains.

‘I’m very grateful to Kate for making looking appropriate really fun again.

‘So right now my fashion choices are all about Kate.’

Oscar-nominated Anne, who features as a yorkshire lass in her new film One Day, reveales that in the past she experimented with trying to embrace a less polished look but the task failed miserably.

‘I think for a few years

that kind of slightly dirty look was adopted by Hollywood – you know, the stringy
hair, homeless thing,’ she tells the Daily Star.

‘And I really tried. But it doesn’t suit me, I don’t suit it. ‘I always looked kind of chubby.’

Famous for her loveable role in The Princess Diaries, the actress received worldwide acclaim for her acting skills and has since gone on to feature in hollywood block busters such as – The Devil Wears Prada, Alice In Wonderland, and Bride Wars.
