Victoria BeckhamStyle icon Victoria Beckham has struggled to hold her new baby daughter due to the agony of a reported slipped disc.

The successful singer turned fashion designer gave birth to Harper Seven on July 10th, via caesarean section.

A source claims the star had been suffering with her painful back condition, finding herself unable to leave the house. This squashes the speculation that Victoria was hiding away from the public until she lost weight for fashion week.

The ex-Spice Girl, 37, posted a message to her fans last week, thanking them for their concern and support during and after the pregnacy.

She said: ‘Thank u for your kind messages. I’m feeling so much better and enjoying every minute with baby Harper. I’m so in love.’

Concerned husband David, 36, has reportedly hired a chiropractor to help Victoria get better in time for New York Fashion Week next month.

Since Harper was born, Victoria has only been photographed twice, and during one of the occasions she was heading to hospital for an X-ray.

Last week, David revealed that they are introducing bottles of expressed breast milk to baby Harpers routine, to give his wife a well-earned break.

“It’s so important they have that mother-daughter bond and breastfeeding is an incredible thing.’ he said. ‘We’re in the process of putting it in bottles now so I get to feed her. It’s amazing.’
