She may have been booted of the Us X Factor panel, but Cheryl Cole is going up in the career ranks, FAST.
The nations sweetheart is not letting the minor hiccup of being sacked by former good friend, music mogul Simon Cowell, stop her from breaking the US.
Keen to turn her judging talents to acting, the geordy has already started filming her first cameo role in Hollywood blockbuster, the cooly named, What To Expect When You Are Expecting.
As if the role was written for her, the star has been given a character she should have no trouble identifying with – a TV talent show judge!
Staring alongside some of the biggest names in the business, Cameron Diaz, Matthew Morrison and fellow judge Jennifer Lopez, this movie appearance is set to rocket our British lass into the big time.
‘This is a great opportunity for Cheryl – and a bit of fun, too,’ says a source close to the budding actress.
After the humiliation of being dumped from the US and UK X Factor, starring alongside elite celebs in a Hollywood movie is a great way for her restore self esteem, not to mention a fantastic way to hypothetically stick a middle finger up to the talent shows bosses.
Cheryl had the wow factor when she made her debut on set. Dressed is a tight little back lacey number by Emilio Pucci with matching Louboutin heels, teamed with celeb spotting sunglasses, she certainly made a lasting impression on fellow cast and crew members.
Up until recently it was unclear what career direction the 28-year-old was going to take. We certainly didn’t expect her to be appearing on the big screen any time soon.
However, the first hints of her new Hollywood career were dropped during the Cannes Film Festival in May.
All lashes and dimples, it was no wonder Cheryl caught the eye of movie producer Harvey Weinstein, who has got famous titles such as, The King’s Speech, notched in his career belt.
‘I want to put Cheryl Cole in one of my films,’ Harvey, stated.
If all goes well, Cheryl may not be stuck doing cameo roles for much longer…
Harvey continues, ‘I’ve heard all about her. She’d make a great leading lady.’
Maybe Cheryl’s dream of becoming a Bond girl isn’t so far fetched after all.
