They may be the hottest couple in the world but at the end of the day Prince William and his stunning new wife Kate Middleton are just like any other pair of newlyweds wanting to spend quality time together and getting to know each other as man and wife.
The Royal couple have just returned from their very successful first official tour together of Canada and the US and it has been announced that they now wish to keep a low profile in order to spend valuable time together in the run-up to Christmas, avoiding at all costs that they may overshadow the Queen as she gets ready to celebrate her Diamond Jubilee next year.
“They are very conscious to make sure that the run-up to 2012 is the Queen’s year.
“She rightly should be in the spotlight”, said a spokesman on behalf of the couple at St James Palace.
The Queen and Prince Charles have given their backing to the Royal newlyweds William and Kate to take on the minimum royal duties during the Autumn and Winter:
“The Queen and the Prince of Wales are fully aware of their plan to go under the radar and are very supportive of it.
“They have the rest of their lives to be public figures and work hard on behalf of the Queen and want to keep things on a level and enjoy their marriage”, added the spokesman.
