She may flash us her pearly whites and flutter thoes infamous lashes, but deep down Cheryl Cole is fighting new found fears.

Its seems like one stressful episode after the next for singer, turned judge, tuned actress, Cheryl.

This time last year the star was on top of the world, firmly positioned as the nations sweetheart after winning us over as an X Factor judge. It seemed like there was nothing Cheryl Could not do…

Since then she’s had her dreams smashed by former friend music mogul Simon Cowell, who he ditched her as the new US X Factor judge, leaving her alone to fend for her career in the states. She struggled to find love with dancer Derek Hough, and then recently got scooped back up in a whirlwind romance with love-rat ex hubby, footballer Ashley Cole – but of course that was going to end it tears.

Now poor Cheryl is struggling to cope with the success of her replacement, N Dubz Tulisa Contostavlos.

One part of her is really happy and excited for the 23 year old, but another is paranoid that she will soon be forgotten by the public.

‘She’s feeling pretty foolish because she’s obviously played the situation wrong – Tulisa’s a hit as her replacement and that’s hard to bear,’ reports an insider.
‘The camaraderie of doing The X Factor was always a morale booster, but that’s all history for Cheryl now.’

Every one assumed the talent show would be a monstrous flop without formidable head judge Simon and sweetness and light Cheryl, but with the airing of the first show hitting a mammoth 12.6 million viewers, were were obviously mistaken.

Cheryl’s hiding out in the states right now, eager to ride out the X Factor wave. She’s keeping her self positive and busy by filming her first cameo role in the new star studded film, What To Expect When You’re Expecting.
