Gripping Coronation Street Tonight As Drunken Carla Smashes Into Stella But Hubby-To-Be Frank Takes The Blame
What should be a happy celebration for Carla and Frank ends up in complete turmoil tonight as the bride-to-be clocks her former love-interest Peter and realises that she’s still very much ‘in-love’ with him.
So instead of having fun and celebrating her engagement and forthcoming wedding to her co-partner at the factory Frank, the tormented knicker boss starts gulping down drinks like there’s no tomorrow drawing a concerned Peter to her attention that his close friend is giving into her alcohol addiction.
Just  as he’s about to give her some words of advice he gets sidetracked by his wife Leanne having a row with her half sister Eva, which of course ends up with Le blaming Stella for everything and telling her she wished that she’d just leave the cobbled streets of Weatherfield for good.
Careful what you wish for Leanne because no sooner than her angry words are out there’s a storm brewing between Carla and Frank when he accuses his fiance of being drunk in front of his parents and knowing Carla like we do, she doesn’t take to that very kindly so storms out of Nics swanky restaurant and jumps straight in to her car. Frank is in hot persuit but it’s too late to stop his bride-to-be slamming her foot on the accelerator and speeding down the street just as Stella  happens to be walking out after trying to make-up with her long lost daughter Leanne and crashes straight into her and smashes the car straight through the windows of the bookies.
A desperate Frank jumps out of the car to check Stella’s condition and finds no sign of live while a disorientated Carla remains in her car seemingly unaware that she’s just drunkenly smashed in to the pub landlady and left her for dead.
He calls for help and then comes to Carla’s rescue by dragging her out of the drivers seat and putting her into the passengers side telling the emergency crews that it was him who was driving the car.
Will Stella die and will Frank live to regret his actions by admitting to a crime he didn’t commit?
Tune in to Coronation Street ITV1 tonight at 8pm.
