It’s been three weeks of fun filled dramatics and tears from the 10/11 mildly famous Celebrity Big brother Contestants, but tonight is the night the drama draws to a close…
We’ve seen pockets of humor, buckets of tears, vaults of drama and even towels of dirty sweat, but unfortunatly the 7/8 remaining housemates opportunity to win the nation over, is up… but who is (or are) the lucky contestants to bag the crown of Celebrity Big Brother Winner 2011.
According to the bookies it was the terrible twosome that have been causing the nightmare.
The knuckle bitingly annoying X Factor runner ups, Jedward, were set to win their first TV show with the shocking odds 4/6.
“The prospect of Jedward winning is giving us sleepless nights. The money back offer was exceptionally popular and doubled the stakes we took on the showâ€, said Ladbrokes Alex Donohue.
Jubbly mum-of-four, Kerry Katona, 31, was a close second in line to scoop her second TV win, with odds of 7/4.
But did her flirtations with Corrie toyboy Lucien Laviscount lose her the vital public votes…?
Despite not being able to make out a word he says, gypsy geeza Paddy Doherty seemed to have the public eating out of the palm of his hands, as well as the big brother housemates.
The regular Joe, who shot to small time fame after appearing on Channel Four’s hit show, Big Fat Gypsy Wedding, was coming in at third position before tonights final with a comfortable 5/1 to win.
The real shocker of celebrity big brother 2011 was The Only Way Is Essex star and Jordan look alike, Amy Childs.
Originally the red haired ditzy TOWIE lass was the favourite to win.
But as the days and weeks rolled on it seemed Amy’s impulse to flirt left right and center and her ability to collect harsh nicknames such as ‘gold digger’, left her odds plummeting to a pitiful 25/1. But hey, you never know, outsiders often win the race….
Former Coronation Street actor Lucien Laviscount, cheeky chap male model Bobby Sabel and Mr Paparazzi Darryn Lyons, with his bizzare plastic six pack, were also within a healthy shot to claiming the big prize.
The unlucky Celeb Big Brother housemates got the boot in this order:
Bobby Sabel – 7th place
Darryn Lyons – 6th place
Lucien Laviscount – 5th place
Amy Childs – 4th place
Jedward – 3rd place
Kerry Katona- 2nd place
Since Channel 5 salvaged the 24/7 reality TV spy show, they have racked in on average an impressive 2.6 million viewers an episode. That’s a rounded 12.1% share of all TV enthusiasts in their time slot.
Although Channel Four’s dramatic version of the celeb popularity contest, with the infamous face-pulling Davina McCall as head host, pulled in on average 3.million viewers and 14% of the share C5, the smallest of the UK’s commercial broadcasters, has been punching well above its weight.
There no doubt in my mind that Celebrity Big Brother will soon be crawling back to a screen near you!
