X Factor Hopeful Lascel Wood Gave Stunning Performance Of Kings Of Leon 'Use Somebody'Â

All four of the X Factor judges were up on their feet in a standing ovation after Lascel Wood’s amazing performance of Kings of Leon ‘Use Somebody’.

The young 20-year-old from Brighton was brought up in foster care wowed everyone with his rendition of the hit song including his mum who had never heard him sing.

X Factor judge Gary Barlow described Lascel Wood’s performance as “Stunning” which earned him a definite 4 yes’ from the panel putting him through to the boot camp stage in the UK’s biggest singing competition.

Singing may come naturally to Lascel Wood but his life certainly hasn’t been easy one:

“Growing up wasn’t always easy. I was in and out of more than 25 foster care homes as a child because my mum suffered with Bipolar. But it happened and it was just something that was part of my life that I’ve moved on from”, said the modern music student.

Other performers who made a big impact on the X Factor judges and through to boot camp last night were Welsh barmaid Samantha Brookes, 31, who belted out Witney Houston’s One Moment In Time and 16-year-old Amelia Lilly with her version of Beverley Knight’s Little Piece of My Heart.

Grab a seat for later because it’s a double treat for X Factor fans tonight on ITV1 at 8pm where you can see Gary Barlow, Tulisa Contostavlos, Kelly Rowland and Louis Walsh continue their search for the next big name in music to hit the X Factor stage.
