Hollywood actress Jennifer Aniston made an urgent hospital dash to be with her mother Nancy Dow at the weekend after the 75-year-old former model suffered a serious stroke.
The stars boyfriend Justin Theroux was at her side supporting her when she arrived at the Beverly Hills hospital in LA at the weekend but waited outside the room when the actress went in to see her poorly mum who is believed to have been left unable to speak.
The former Friends star was said to be visibly upset and in floods of tears after her visit.
A neighbour at Nancy Dow’s North Hollywood apartment block said:
She’s in hospital. She’s fabulous, a very nice lady. She’s also very private.”
Jennifer Aniston, 42, famously became estranged from her mother for more than a decade ranting: “I’ll never forgive you. Never!” following a 1996 TV interview in which Nancy spilled the beans about their turbulent mother/daughter relationship and later in 2001 wrote the book: From Mother And Daughter To Friends: A Memoir.
After her mums revealing book was released which absolved herself from blame in their estranged relationship an angry Jennifer slammed: “This is the last chunk of disease in my life. My Mom!”
But the feuding mother and daughter are said to have put their differences aside and made up in 2008. Jennifer did go on to confirm to the New York Post in 2009 that the couple had managed to heal their differences and make a new start as friends: “It’s good. It’s OK. Things are fine between us. All of that is over. We’re in touch with one another. We speak and it’s all over.”
