Chanel Tapper Enters 2012 Edition Guinness Book of World Records For Longest Tongue

California Student Chanel Tapper has entered the 2012 Edition of the Guinness Book Of World Records for having the longest tongue in the world.

Her lizard-like tongue measures 3.8 in (9.75cm) from its tip to top lip and is twice as long as the average human tongue.

Chanel Tapper’s impressive record speaking tool is the same width as the palm of your hand and stretches out the same length of a Apple iPhone.

She first noticed her tongue was longer than normal when she was eight-years-old and had photos taken with her mom for Halloween but as she’s got older the reaction she gets from most people is the same when she pops her world record tongue out at them:

“They’ll ask me to do it again.”

“Some girls/women have screamed and jumped back and if there are other people around they person who saw my tongue will tell the nearest next to them.

“I’ll often get asked questions like. ‘can you touch your nose or elbow? and ‘Do you choke people when you kiss them?

“But always one way or the other they’re entertained by seeing it”, said the proud new world record holder.

Also featuring in the new 2012 Guinness World Record Book is Christine Walton, 45, from Las Vegas, who has 10ft 2in (3.1m) fingernails on her left hand and 9ft 7in (2.92m) talons on her right hand. Joining the record holders is Aevin Dugas from New Orleans,US, who also gets an entry for having grown the world’s largest natural Afro. Her massive head of hair has a circumference of 4ft 4in (1.32m).
