Officials at St James’s Palace have confirmed that the Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton plans to follow in the footsteps of the late Diana, Princess of Wales, by making personal visits to her chosen charities.
Princess Diana was not only famous for being a world leading fashion icon with stunning natural beauty but was also renowned for being fiercely dedicated to her charity work which took her all over the world including sufferers of HIV and AIDS and victims of landmines.
Now it appears that Kate Middleton,29, plans to follow by Diana’s example and will spend the next few months carefully deciding which charities she will choose to give her support.
The new Duchess of Cambridge has already begun to pay personal visits to several organisations but plans to get familiar with a variety of good causes before making her final decisions in the coming New Year.
“The Duchess is using the next few months to get to know a number of charitable and other causes better so she can make well-informed decisions about her future role. The Duchess plans to meet a wide range of people and make private visits.
“We are not giving a running commentary of the causes the Duchess is looking at. Her interests remain broad at the moment”, said a spokesman at St Jame’s Palace.
