Oh Dear! It looks like fans of ITv1 Loose Women show have spoken their minds when it comes to what they think of the shows new anchorwoman Carol Voderman, and let’s face it folks, it’s the fans that have made the weekday discussion show as successful as it is by tuning in everyday to see their favourite panel of women debating the latest hot topics.
She’s only anchored the show a couple of times and already some of the regular viewers were left less than impressed describing Carol Vorderman, 50, as being ‘pushy’, irritating’ and wooden’.
Loose Women’s army of fans galloped to their Facebook page to say about the newcomer: “Glad to have Loose Women back but not with the extremely irritating Carol Vorderman!”, and another voiced: “She’s not right on the show and comes across as too confident and pushy and name-drops which can be irritating.”
Some fans however, went a little bit further voicing their opinions of the new ITv1 presenter exclaiming: “Get Carol off! Get her off Now!” and some have even threatened to switch their TV sets off altogether if they know that she’s anchoring the popular show: “I would be interested to know how many people have stopped watching Loose Women since carol Vorderman appeared? I’m One!”
Fans have even been saying how much they loved Carol’s predecessor Kate Thornton, 38, who came under similar attack from fans before she was sacked in July, even begging the shows producers to reinstate her: “Kate is funny, intelligent and bubbly and the best anchorwoman the show has ever had. CV is wooden and boring. Big Mistake ITV!” blasted one fan.
This has all come as a bit of surprise to Carol’s fellow Loose Women, Andrea Mclean and Denise Welch, Lisa Maxwell and Sherrie Hewsson who are all very supportive of the shows latest recruit and feel that viewers should maybe just give the intelligent mum with an impressive TV career a chance for her to settle down and prove that she really has got what it takes to be a great anchorwoman for the daily show.
Loose Women Weekdays on ITV 12.30pm.
