A young student was horrified to learn that the twisted and sick online stalker that had made her life a misery for three years turned out to be none other than her own boyfriend.

For three-years Ruth Jeffery’s life had been made a living hell by her twisted boyfriend Shane Webber.

The pretty young student from Nottingham is still trying to get her head around the fact that her own boyfriend whom she trusted more than anything in the world had made her a nervous wreck and even driven her to being on the verge of suicide through his vile campaign of sexual harassment.

Unemployed Webber took pleasure from sending her explicit photos and videos, and by pretending to be his girlfriend by posting naked images of her on adult websites.

Ruth Jeffry, 22, believes the reasons Webber did what he did was purely motivated out of sickening jealously of her because she was a bright student with a promising career ahead of her while he was a sad loser who dropped out of school at 14 with no qualifications. She wants her jobless ex-boyfriend sent to jail for his evil three-year campaign against her, especially knowing how ill and depressed it was making her.

“He has wrecked my life.

“There were times when I phoned up my mum and said, ‘I don’t want to be alive any more’. I just didn’t want to do anything.

“The whole thing has affected me badly. I’ve been worried about going out. I’ve been worried about sending emails. I’ve been worried to drive.

“I’ve been feeling watched the whole time by someone who was finding out what I was doing. It’s still hard to believe it was my own boyfriend all the time. We were really close.

We did everything together. I would tell him everything. I thought he was telling me everything.

“He was pretending to be a lot of people. The first few times it happened I got annoyed and blocked all the names.

“But it became more frequent. They were all saying, ‘I used to fancy you, Ruth. I think you are really good-looking and I want to meet up’.

“He created an account very similar to mine and was speaking to people making out he was me.

“He sent out pictures of me, telling them, ‘It’s Ruth, I really like you. Here’s a picture of me. Can you send pictures back?

“It made me feel sick. I was confused about why these people, who I thought were from school, would be sending me these kind of images. It made me so stressed because it was happening every single day.I started to see pictures of me appearing online that were being sent around. They were on any adult website I could find.

“He dropped out of school and doesn’t have any qualifications. It seemed like he wanted to stop me from getting a degree.

“Throughout the whole relationship he was a bit controlling and possessive, really.

“If I didn’t go to see him the moment I had some free time, he would start complaining.

“I want people to realise it has not been me sending those photos and messages”, said Ruth.

But the man that she had known since they were eleven came unstuck when he was eventually confronted by his girlfriend and parents after the penny finally dropped that only ‘he’ could known some of the details sent in the emails.

When he was confronted Webber denied anything to do with the stalking and even sunk as low as to accuse one of his friends of doing it. But the sick, jobless liar was arrested by police and identified as the culprit in June.

Shane Webber, 22, pleaded guilty in court to causing harassment to his girlfriend Ruth Jeffery and is due to be sentenced for his deceptive and cruel crimes next month.
