Self Proclaimed Miracle Pastor Gilbert Deya Extradited From UK To Kenya Facing Charges of Child Abduction
“Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing.”
And it appears that the ‘man of god’ who claimed he could give infertile couples so called “miracle babies” is to be extradited from the UK to his homeland in Kenya to face charges of child abduction the Home Office have confirmed.
Gilbert Dreya is alleged to have stolen five babies from a hospital in Kenya between 1999 and 2004.
The self-proclaimed ‘miracle pastor’ is a Bishop of the church in Peckham, south London, has fought being removed from the UK since 2007, claiming that on his return to Kenya he faces torture and inhuman degrading treatment because he is a victim of political vendetta.
But the Home Office have formally sanctioned the pastors extradition after his appeal exhausted every avenue.
“On Tuesday 13 September the Secretary of State decided that Mr Deya’s extradition should proceed.
“He has exhausted all avenues of appeal against extradition under the Extradition Acct”, said a spokesman for the department.
Police in Nairobi say their investigation revolves around the disappearance of babies from Nairobi’s Pumwani Maternity Hospital and involves suspects in Britain, Ghana, Nigeria, Uganda and Kenya.
