Just about the worse thing happened to One Direction Harry Styles last weekend while he was performing their latest hit single – he fell flat on his face… OUCH!

With the news of his bands new single ‘What makes You Beautiful’ rocketing to number one, cheeky chap Harry Style’s ego was about to pop – well he was certainly left deflated after he slipped up in front of a room of adoring fans at G-A-Y last Saturday.

The young X Factor runner ups only annoyingly only had themselves to blame for Harry’s embarrassing incident.

The boy band had performed their single at the popular night club, but the teenagers went a tad too far after they ripped into Niall Horan‘s birthday cake, littering the stage with greasy mess.

It was the cakey gunk that caused Harry to go belly up and was understandably left red faced after he recovered.

‘I tried to style it out…it just, didn’t work,’ Harry, 17, tweeted the embarrassed singer.

But the blip at G-A-Y didn’t stop their single dominating the UK charts and becoming the fastest selling single of 2011, so far.

‘Going home to celebrate this with family massive thanks to everyone!! You did this…thanks for all your support. Feels incredible .xx,’ the elated star wrote.
