It might seem like a side-splitting laugh for millions of the comics fans but the famous naked pose that funny man Johnny Vegas bravely stripped all his clothes off for is now part of an exhibition at London’s National Portrait Gallery.
The photogenic 40-year-old actor and comedian from Lancashire, famed for his rather portly figure and husky voice more than expects his naked portrait to raise quite a few eyebrows and trigger plenty of laughs for his take on recreating the famous naked pose that Demi Moore did for the cover of Vanity Fair Magazine in 1991.
The exhibition featuring naked Johnny Vegas is called: Comedians: From The 1940s to Now.
Featured with his pose are more than 50 photos of the UK’s top leading comics including, Ricky Gervais, Spike Milligan, Tony Hancock, Eric Sykes and Sid James.
But one should never judge a book by its cover because Johnny Vegas has quite an artistic of his own.
Apart from generating laughs he also owns a passion for pottery that lead him to study Ceramic Design at Middlesex University for three years.
He then shot to fame after appearing on the TV show Win, Draw or Lose in 1996 under his real name of Michael when he was noted for saying that what he really wanted to do in life was be a comedien under his stage name of ‘Johnny Vegas’. The enormously funny man hasn’t looked back since in his career since.
