Now we are massive fans it is easy to over look the fact that we dismissed feisty N-Dub star, Tulisa Contostavlos, as second best to Cheryl Cole.
We’d like to deny that we took the mickey out of her new style over haul, branding her a Cheryl wannabe, but since the X Factor auditions have rolled on we have definitely warmed to the London lasses charms.
Since Simon Cowell’s shock announcement that the hip hop star was replacing the nations sweetheart, so much has changed and Tulisa has nicely bloomed into her role as judge.
The internet was rocked with rumours that Cheryl Cole was going to pinch back her position on the panel, but in actual fact, X Factor creator Simon Cowell is so impressed by Tulisa he is already planning to get her name down for the next series, bating her with a mammoth pay rise…
Just like her Girls Aloud predecessor, the singer is due another colossal injection of cash to persuade her to sign on the dotted line.
Simon dug deep to keep Cheryl onboard, forking out an impressive £250,000 pay increase after she saw her act Alexandra Burke take the X Factor crown of glory in 2008, putting her on an eye watering £1 million for her second series of sitting behind a chair and picking songs for her four acts.
The second series saw her jump up another £700,000 the following year – now the new nations sweetheart, Tulisa, is set to do the same.
