Brit Gareth Chasmore Faces Death Penalty Caught Smuggling £1million of Drugs Into Jakata Airport In Indonesia

Brit Gareth Chasmore could face the death penalty after being arrested on suspicion of trying to smuggle £1million of illegal drugs into Indonesia.

The 32-year-old from Wakefield, West Yorkshire, was ceased by police at Jakata airport after he boarded a flight from Manchester, UK, via Istanbul with his massive drug stash.

Chasmore is accused of hiding 6.5kg of Methamphetamine in a secret comparment in his suitcase.

Indonesia take drug trafficking very seriously indeed the offence is punishable by death or serving life imprisonment.

The Foreign Office is helping to assist the suspected British drug trafficker.
