Move over Justin Theroux – at emotional times like these, it is ex hubby, Brad Pitt, Jen wants comforting  her…

According to US sources, since Jennifer Aniston mum’s upsetting stroke, it is not new beau Justin that Jen has been turning to, but ex Brad Pitt.

Although The Hangover star Justin has been keeping a concerned watchful eye over his new girlfriend, Jen has apparently been making tearful phone calls to Brad, who is currently living in the UK while he films gory scenes for his latest movie, World war Z.

Despite recently admitting that he lead a life of boredom whilst hitched to the infamous Friends actress, Brad has remained incredibly close with his ex wife and reveals that she still is an important figure in his life.

‘Jen is an incredibly giving, loving and hilarious woman who remains my friend,’ he says.
‘It’s an important relationship that I value greatly.’

And now, Jen has been reaching out for Brad, 47, as she feels he is the only person who understands what she is going though with her mum.

Jen and her mother Nancy have had an ongoing feud spanning over a decade, bitterness that was understandably sparked when Nancy spilled private beans about her daughter in a 1996 TV interview.

Since then the pair have apparently been on shaky terms, but Nancy’s recent stroke has of course hit Jen hard.
‘Jen’s feeling guilty about all the years she’s held a grudge,’ reveals a source.
‘Brad knows the history and when they were married he tried to help her build bridges with Nancy.
‘He’s told Jen to call any time.’

So while Jen reportedly grabs the phone to dial Brads number, Justin is left waiting the wings.
