It’s got to be said that after an extremely disappointing year the former UK X Factor judge Cheryl Cole has at least to her credit enjoyed good reviews this week.

The confident Geordie lass was out and about in the Capital sporting a giant beehive hairdo while launching her first ever fashion shoe range in collaboration with website Fashion Pick at London Fashion week, but the solo singer also woke to rave reviews about her rather brief US X Factor appearance for being “much more interesting than Nicole Scherzinger!”

But one former WAG who’s trying desperately to escape her past and shine Stateside wasn’t about to add to the LA Times flattering comments about Cheryl Cole or by any means allow her one time former friend to rain on her US parade.

Fashion designer and mum-of-fourVictoria Beckham has really got her designer claws out for the former British talent judge. She was apparently seething to learn that the Promise This singer is trying her best to break into the fashion world branding her as nothing but a ‘joke’.

The unsmiling Brit even barked to one friend in the firing line that the 28-year-old singer ‘should stick to doing talent shows’.

One of the reasons that the ‘Posh’ pop star turned fashion designer to the rich and famous feels so threatened by Cheryl Cole is because she knows deep in her multi-million pound heart that she’ll be instantly compared to her Fashion rival and that’s something else she absolutely ‘hates’.

“Victoria has spent years trying to distance herself from the world of the WAGS that she and Cheryl inhabited when they were friends during the 2006 World Cup.

“She’s fought tooth and nail to be respected in the world of high fashion and last week she enjoyed being the toast of New York Fashion Week.

“She now feels like Cheryl is trying to piggyback on all of her hard work because she knows her name will be mentioned every time Cheryl designs something, and she doesn’t want that.

“Victoria thinks Cheryl’s range is just a PR stunt and that she’s an amateur”, revealed a source.
