Alarm bells for this years contestants have started ringing after X Factor favourite Luke Lucas broke down and sobbed his heart out in front of Gary Barlow and Robbie Williams.

The teenager was reduced to an emotional wreck as he was desperately tried to impress the Take That band members to secure a place in the live final shows.

The enormously popular and likeable cheeky teen from Margate in Kent crumbled and shook uncontrollably as the pressure of the competition hit him for six:

“He found the pressure really difficult.

“He messed up one of his songs then started crying when he feared he had blown his chance.

Gary and Robbie were really worried”, revealed a source.

Luke’s worrying behaviour is a far cry from the confident 16-year-old lad with an adorable smile that walked on stage for his first audition. He wowed the crowds and even went as far as to steal a little kiss from X Factor judge Tulisa Contostavlos.

But his distressing emotional melt down in front of Gary and Robbie  from being under such enormous pressure to get ahead in the X Factor competition is raising big fears and questions after experts claimed the ITV1 search-for-a-star show is nothing short of ‘dangerously playing with peoples minds’.

“The X Factor is like ‘conditioning experiments’ that took place in the Sixties on animals. Producers need to take responsibility for potential consequences”, slammed Majorie Wallace of mental Health Charity ‘Sane’.

Viewers will be able to watch Luke’s emotional meltdown on the X Factor show tonight at 7.30pm and tomorrow on ITV1 at 7.45pm.
