It all started looking pretty rosy between the new X Factor judges Gary Barlow, Kelly Rowland, Tulisa Contostavlos and Louis Walsh, but as the categories are dished out it is soon evident that it is not just the competition between the acts that is heating up…
Simon Cowell replacement, head judge Gary Barlow, let slip that the stars competitive streak is starting to effect their friendships.
With  tonights hour and half X Factor special poised to reveal the final 16 once and for all, the tension on the hit ITV talent show is certainly beinning to simmer, particularly between the hungry mentors and Take That front man Gary has revealed that there’s no love lost between him and his fellow judges – especially Kelly Rowland.
‘I get on with Kelly, well, I did until this point,’ says Gary.
‘When she got given her girls category at boot camp, I’ve noticed the texts have stopped.
‘It’s all gone into a new gear. It’s war now. But that’s fair enough.’
Gary, who was granted his wish of mentoring the popular boys category, is keen to play dirty and has devised a cunning game plan…
He has already identified his opponents weakness and with Kelly and her girls tipped to be his biggest threat he is reveling in the knowledge that Kelly, 30, has tour performances to juggle with her X Factor commitments.
‘The great thing is when I get home I’ve got nothing in my diary other than this show. I think I’m lucky,’ the 40-year-old tells the Daily Star.
‘I already know Kelly’s on tour with Chris Brown.
‘That’s good for me. I’m thinking; “You go on tour, while I work here.” I’m confident we’ve got the winner in this category.’
May the bloody battle commence!
