Legendary actress Julia Roberts as evil queen

With countless timeless classic chick flicks under belt, an evil Queen of darkess is the last role you would think legendary actress Julia Roberts would be called up for…

Blockbusters such as Pretty Woman, Notting Hill and My Best Friend’s Wedding sitting proudly on her extensive resume, becoming the evil Queen in the new highly anticipated Brothers Grimm adaptation of Snow White is quite a turn around – but one we can’t wait to see her in none the less!

Keen to show us her darker side the 43-year-old Hollywood A Lister is venturing into an unfamiliar terrain and here is a quick glance of the excitement…

In the first stills from the as-yet-untitled movie, which is due to rock a screen near you in March 2012, Roberts is snapped looking stony-faced as she glares down the lense, certainly not her usual cuddly persona…eek!

While Julia is by far the biggest name in this budget busting fairy tale, her Snow White nemesis is played by up and coming star Lily Collins.

Lily, who is daughter of 90s pop icon Phil Collins, is already carving out a name for herself in the movie industry after she recently starred alongside side Twilight’s Taylor Lautner in action packed Abduction.

Lily, 22, was ecstatic when she discovered that she will be working alongside the legend and warns that the audience won’t be prepared for Roberts’ evil turn in the movie…

She spills: ‘She’s playing evil in a way that I don’t think people are going to expect. Everyone loves Julia’s smile and laughs, and she maintains that, but in such a creepy eerie way that you don’t know if you love her or hate her.

‘She’s brilliant and it’s been an honour. She’s so nice, she’s so classy, she’s just everything I had hoped she’d be.’

Despite Julia’s convincing mean streak in the film, Lily revealed that the menacing villainous character was quite a tall order to perform, even by someone with Roberts’ talent.

She explained: ‘Julia gets to be quite horrible to me. There’s a scene where she pulls my hair and she pulled it so hard that some of it came out!

‘But we kept rolling and afterward she was like, “I’m so sorry! I’m so sorry!” ‘

Oh my…!

Great news for fans who like to get sucked into the action on screen, Lilly let slip that the blockbuster is following suit and branching out to dramatic 3D.

Finally Lilly reveals: She said: ‘You can expect the unexpected. You can expect huge costumes, hair and make-up. Basically, anything you assume a fairytale would be like, it has all those elements but it’s not just your typical Snow White. It’s been twisted into many cool ways.”

Well one things for sure – I CAN’T WAIT!
