With multi-millions pading the bank, you would assume popstar Rihanna would only travel in style – we’ll you’d be wrong.
Perhaps false rumours had reached Rihanna’s ears in America that the London Tube was actually a relaxing way to travel – not the usual cramped, sweaty, armpit-in-face rush hour way us Londoners are used to.
The 23-year-old pop icon deemed the London Underground the best way to rush to her own concert last night – I bet she thought twice after her stint…
The funky singer, who kicked off her European tour in the 20,000-capacity O2 Arena last night, broke the passengers traditional solemn facial expressions and left them open mouthed as she rode on a busy Jubilee line train.
Although engulfed by her security team, the star was happy to mingle with gobsmaked tubers, many of whom were incidentally on their way to boogie along to the stars opening night.
‘I met @Rihanna on my way home, told her she was crazy for taking the tube she said “Dunno how you guys do it”,’ Tweeted one fan alongside a picture of her with Ri-Ri.
After keeping the carriage entertained for the best part of twenty minuets, the chart topper hopped off at North Greenwich station and jumped into a chauffeur driven car waiting to drive her to the backstage area of the venue.
‘I been waiting 4 this all year,’ Rihanna, 23, Tweeted when asked how she was feeling about her first show.
I’ll be keeping my eyes peeled for Rihanna next time I take the underground – it would certainly make the journey more enjoyable.
