The Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton is apparently desperate to give something back by getting involved in plenty of charity work.

Kate, 29, who married Prince William earlier in the year, is currently taking time to research a number of organisations to decide which she would like to give her patronage to, but friends admit she is being careful to choose charities which suit her new royal title.

A source reportedly said: ‘She knows she can’t work nine to five, but I think she feels that working with a charity like Help for Heroes or a cause close to her heart, would fit in well with her new lifestyle. I think she’s desperate to give something back.’

Husband William is fully supportive of Kate’s decisions and even suggested the pair kick off his wife’s charity work with a visit to The Royal Marsden children’s cancer centre, which took place on the 29th September this year..

The source futher added to LOOK mag: “The thing is Kate is actually very similar to William’s mother Diana and I think that’s one of the reasons why he fell in love with her in the first place. He was thrilled that Catherine might want to make a difference to the world like his mum did. I imagine that’s why he suggested they kick off her work with a visit to The Royal Marsden children’s cancer ward ñ it’s where Diana made her first solo trip as a royal in 1982.”
