October 31, 2011, Kim Kardashian filed for divorce after 72 days of marriage to her husband, Kris Humphries.

TMZ reports said that Kim is not seeking for an annulment. It’s a garden variety divorce., in which Kim cites, “irreconcilable differences.”

According to the documents, Kim wants his husband to pay his own lawyer’s fee and she will pay hers. She wants the court to reject any move by Kris to get financial support.

Kim hired the famous lawyer to celebs, Laura Wasser who represented Britney Spears, Maria Shriver, Ryan Reynolds, Angelina Jolie, and Robyn Gibson.

The couple signed a prenuptial agreement.

Kris Humphries made a statement to TMZ saying, “I am committed to this marriage and everything this covenant represents. I love my wife and I am devastated to learn she filed for divorce.I’m willing to do whatever it takes to make it work.”

Rumors saying that the reason why they broke up was that Kris wanted to live in Minnesota and start their own family while Kim wants to stay in LA near her family. She feels it’s the best decision for her career.

Sources say, it is not a nasty break up, but they realized it is not for long-term.

There are also rumors about Kris flirting with a brunette at a Miami Club.

A source who traveled to Dubai with Kim tells X17 online exclusively, “I heard kim on the phone with Kris at one point during the trip, and she was swearing and screaming at him about how he does not have anything going on and how she’s not going to support him.”

Sources said that constant fighting made Kim so stressful. It’s not actually the first time that Kris was criticized for going after Kim’s money. In fact, in the wedding episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashian, her sister Khloe was worried about Kris’s intention to Kim. She said that Kris has nothing to lose if he marries Kim and gets a divorce.

Kim Kardashian’s friend, Tres Glam jewely designer said to x17online,” I’m sad for them, but Kim is a strong woman. Sometimes things doesn’t work out the way we planned.”

Kourtney Kardashian tweeted, “Our sister is going through a difficult time but we are a close family and are sticking together like always.. we appreciate everyone’s kindness and support @kim kardashian, we love you.”

Khloe Kardashian-Odom also tweeted, “Reading some these comments r so hurtful. I’m grateful for my fans who understands and r being respectful. Hate is disgusting. Love is everything..Thank God for family. We are strong and we will become closer. We love You!”

Kim and Kris got married after just 6 months of dating.
