Was Lindsay Lohan released from jail?Lindsay Lohan checked herself early to Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, CA before 9 pm, Sunday night.

Judge Stephanie sentenced Lindsay for 30 days for the stolen gold necklace, but due to overcrowding, she was RELEASED four hours later, around 1:30 am Monday morning.

Lindsay was reportedly dined in Venice with sister Ali Lohan and friends before she went to prison.

Last Friday, she went to different parties like the after party of the premiere of J. Edgar, starring Leonardo Di Caprio on which she reportedly was not invited.

From the hearing last week, Judge Sautner allowed her time to finish her playboy spread. It’s really something new for Lohan to be really early. The schedule for her to go to jail was supposedly this Wednesday.

UPDATE: Hugh  Hefner now has answered some questions regarding her photo shoot. She said that the theme of the shoot was inspired by her idol, Marilyn Monroe.

He said, “It’s a classic tribute inspired by the original Tom Kelly nude pictorial of Marilyn Monroe, a portion of which was the original playmate in the very first issue of Playboy.”

He was asked if she really went all the way, he said, “Oh yes, and classy, very classy.”

Her cover will be released on January 2012.

Another report released by Fox News said that Lindsay Lohan’s appearance in court costs Los Angeles tax payers millions.

Former Federal prosecutor Michael Wildes said, “From logistics to the transcript reporters to the clerks it is exorbitantly expensive to have a court appearance.. It costs tens of thousands of dollars per court appearance.”

Atty. Vikki Viegler also stated, “It has likely cost taxpayers millions of dollars. This has been a four year ordeal that taxpayers in California must foot.”
