New Jailbreak for iOS 5.0.1 devices (iPhone 3,3gs,4 + iPad 1 + iPod 3,4)

Apple just released their new 5.0.1 iOS patch and already a jailbreak for that version had been released. Seems the cat-mouse relationship between Apple and the Jailbreak developers is getting really tight.

The new Apple iOS 5.0.1 was released in an aim to solve some of the reported bugs in the new iOS 5 (i.e. battery issues on some devices, slowness, some crashes etc).

The well-known iOS hacker called iH8sn0w had just released an updated Sn0wbreeze version to support iOS 5.0.1.

 

Sn0wbreeze 2.8b11 is a Windows application that allows jailbreaking iPhones, iPads and Ipods running the new iOS 5.0.1. This is done by using customized versions of the new iOS (called Firmware) for each device.

 

At the moment the new iOS jailbreak software will only work on the following devices:

iPhone 3gs, iPhone 4 (GSM and CDMA, iPad 1, iPod touch 3g  and iPod touch 4g.
