It was a wonderful night for the semi-finalists of Dancing with the Stars.

Ricki Lake danced with her partner Derek Hough in a sleek samba that made the audience and judges loved it so much.

Len Goodman said, “Fabulous, Fabulous.”

Bruno Tinioli said, “Sizzling hot, bright and brilliant.”

Lake earned 10 points from Tinioli and Goodman while a 9 from Carrie Ann Inaba.

Meanwhile, JR Martinez who got a perfect score last week, got a low score of  23 points.

He performed a paso doble with Karina Smirnoff.

He had a sprained ankle that led him to curse at the end of his second round tango.

The judges gave him 27 points.

JR was interviewed backstage by PEOPLE and he said that he regrets disappointing her partner Smirnoff.

“Even though.. an ankle injury is something you can’t control, you still get frustrated because (Smirnoff) put some routines together that were really amazing.”

“It’s kind of the mentality you hear from guys that serve in the military. They don’t want the rest of their guys down.That’s what it comes down to.”

“All week we were like , man, once we fine tune this, if we nail it, it’s going to be amazing. I was frustrated at myself because I felt that we could have done so much better.”

Smirnoff interrupted and said, “He did not.”

Robert Kardashian was surprisingly good on his rump-shaking samba with partner Cheryl Burke.

Inaba gave him 10 points and the other 2 judges gave him 9 points.

Lastly, Hope Solo earned 21 points on her paso-doble with Maksim Chmerkovsky and 24 points on their second tango dance.

On the final round the contenders danced a cha-cha relay. Rob Kardashian got 10 additional points.

Ricki Lake got the highest score with a total of 67 points, Rob got 65 points, Martinez with 56 points and Solo earned 49 points.
