Is there any Hope for Dancing With the Stars?
Soccer goalkeeper Hope Solo got eliminated and her partner Max Chmerkovsky was sent home last Tuesday night.
They had the lowest scores among the semi-finalists garnering a total of 49 points.
After she was announced that she is eliminated, she said she wants to focus on her career on soccer than dancing.
“I’m going to go back and instead of trying to win the mirror ball trophy, I’m going to win a gold medal.”
She added, “This competition is one of the hardest competitions I’ve ever been part of. I’m grateful. Its was an amazing opportunity.”
JR Martinez and his partner was in the bottom two this week. He felt a sigh of relief when he heard, Hope will be the one who is going home.
He had a sprained ankle this week and just garnered a total of 56 points.
He told Access Hollywood after their performance, “The expectation was still high for myself despite the injury. All week while we were rehearsing like ‘Oh man, if IÂ nail this.. it would be an opportunity to show America different side of JR Martinez than they have gotten to know.”
They told E! News on Hope Solo’s departure, “As much as we don’t want anyone to go home, we’re kind of really glad we made the final!”
Hope Solo was reportedly was in tears and distraught to the point that she could not accept interviews after the competition.
But still she is thankful for the support of her family and friends.
Her partner, Chmerkovsky said, I’m sorry. I wish I could have been better for you.”
“It is what it is…it’s an amazing journey.”
Who will win the 13th season of Dancing with the Stars?
It will be a tough one for JR Martinez and Karina Smirnoff, Rob Kardashian and Cheryl Burke, and Ricki Lake and Derek Hough.
