Demi Moore just announced her plans to divorce her husband of six years,Ashton Kutcher, but the question is what went wrong?
Even though the rumors of Ashton cheated on her with 22-year-old Sarah Leal two months ago, the couple proved to the public that they are still together.
They even went to Kabbalah marriage counselling and had a weekend at Caribbean atoll, Parrot Quay, in which, Demi’s ex, Bruce Willis owned.
A source revealed that the couple always had major fights and drama for sometime.
The source told People, “The fighting could get pretty intense.”
“Whatever counseling they did was fine for a quick fix but could not get to the heart of the problem.”
A source told Star Magazine that the couple had an ‘open marriage’ with several reports saying that Demi is bisexual.
“Demi is attracted to women just as much as men, so she did not get all she needed from Ashton.”
“Everyone in Hollywood knows about their arrangement, but they’ve managed to keep it as a secret on general public.”
“She was cool with Ashton having flirtatious relationships too. Somehow they made it work all these years. Both of them were respectful of each other. It was a lot of fun for them.”
Then what did Demi think is the final straw that she gave up on the marriage?
The source shared to US Weekly, “The final straw with Sarah Leal has been too humiliating for Demi to get over.”
Ashton has been rumored that he and Sarah Leal had sex on the weekend of their sixth-year anniversary and Demi could not look at Ashton the same way and the marriage completely unraveled.
“She still loves Ashton but feels he went too far and disrespected her and her marriage in a way that it can’t be taken back.”
“She wants to set an example for her daughters and this was just something she could not rationalize to them or to herself.”
Lastly, the source said that Demi tried everything to make it work.
“She really tried everything she could to forgive him and accept his apologies. At the end of the day, the public humiliation and the example she was setting by staying on the marriage just not was the right thing for her.”
