Supermodel Elle Macpherson is more than just a pretty face and a sexy model.
She is now worth $60 million according to Forbes, for being the head of her own company, her own lingerie line collection.
The business is now in it’s 21st year. She recently launched, Elle Macpherson, – The Body, a Bath and Body Collection.
She is a determined young woman who decided not to let anyone or a company profit on her beauty and talent more than she did.
Elle was first approached to launch a swimwear line on her name, but then decided to launch her own lingerie line instead.
The supermodel shared why she decided to pose naked on Playboy magazine way back in 1994.
When she appeared naked on the movie, ‘Siren’ alongside Hugh Grant, many companies approached her to pose naked.
So, she thought that she should make an effort to control the situation.
She told the Daily Telegraph, “OK, you want naked? I’ll give you naked, but on my own terms.”
She chose photographer Herb Ritts to take her sexy cover.
Elle reveals that she did no regret doing the cover, because on that Playboy money, she was able to buy her mom a new house.
She also spoke to the Daily Telegraph about her being one of the victims of phone-hacking.
Macpherson added that the incident did not let it go on her head.
“I believe I made the right choice. And I made that choice years ago, because I did not want to perpetuate stories. I did not want to be involved. I did not enter to the discussions, whatsoever.”
She also added that she did not discuss hacking with Hugh Grant.
“I made a decision not to become embroiled. Contrary to any suggestions, I categorically deny receiving any compensation whatsoever.”
“I really need not to be jumping on a bandwagon or a crusade. I don’t think I was aware of the magnitude at the time.”
