Angelina Jolie opens up in the show 60 minutes, and reveals that her ‘soft spot’ is her mother.

Marcheline Bertrand died at the age of 56, after battling for eight years of ovarian cancer.

Angelina shared how her mother gave all her time for her and her siblings.

“My mother was a full-time mother.”

“She did not much have of her own career, her own life, her own experiences. Everything was for her children.”

Jolie said it’s hard to keep up with how her mother was to them.

“I will never be as good mother as she was. She was just grace incarnate.  She was the most generous, loving, and she’s better than me.”

The Oscar-winning actress says that she makes it a point that only one of them is working in order for the children to have a parent guiding them all the time.

She said, “No we never work at the same time.”

It is funny on how she revealed that she has a back up plan for another profession.

Angelina Jolie said she plans on being an undertaker.

“It sounds like this very strange, eccentric, dark thing, to do but in fact I lost my grandfather and was very upset with his funeral.”

“How somebody passes and how family deals with this passing and what death is should be addressed in a different way.”

“If this whole thing did not work out that was going to be my path.”

She even got an online degree on it. She said, “I thought I could do better, so I got a home course when I was about 14. I did a mail order degree.”

Angelina said that reports to gossip magazines is not her. She said, “I don’t see those things. I don’t know who they are but I assume they are not me.”

“They are not who I am. They are not what I spend my day caring about.”

Jolie describes them as ‘quite shallow and often quite wrong.’

Angelina also shared that she can’t believe she directed a movie about a Bosnian War entitled, ‘In the Land of Blood and Honey.’

“I still think it’s crazy. I think I’d be terrible with comedy.”

She also did not realize that it was controversial to some people in other countries.

“I did not realize it was going to be as sensitive. Everything was something to be careful about and sensitive.”

“I am nervous that people are not going to understand it.”

She said she is able to view the directing the movie as risky but in a good way.

“What’s risky? Is living your life never trying for anything, never trying anything brave? I’m scared in a good way.”

Lastly, she also revealed that she prefers to be away from the limelight just like Brad Pitt.

“I prefer directing. I loved having the spotlight on someone else. I would much prefer it.”

“It’s nice for all that (her appearance) not to  matter.”
