Guy Ritchie on his marriage with Madonna: "I stepped into a soap opera, and I lived in it for quite a long time."It has been three years since he did not talk about his divorce with Madonna.

Now, Guy Ritchie opens up about his life with Madonna and said that he did not regret their marriage.

He opened up on the new issue of Details Magazine.

He said, “I enjoyed my first marriage. It is definitely not something I regret. ”

Guy also shared that he was happy about his experience on the marriage as he had a biological son, Rocco, 11 and adopted son, David, 6.

“The experience was ultimately positive. I love the kids that came out of it, and I could see no other routes to take. But you move on, don’t you?”

He then turned the positive thing to the negative one for reason for divorce was he was caught up in a soap opera.

“I stepped into a soap opera, and I lived in it for quite a long time. I’ll probably be more eloquent on it ten years from now.”

Even if their relationship did not work out, at the end of the day, the Sherlock Holmes director admits that he learned a lot with Madonna.

“When you end up with a lot of things you set out to chase and find that you have stumbled into all sorts of hollow victories, then you become deeply philosophical.”

Ritchie revealed that he made good money when they were married.

“I’m quite happy that the experience was accelerated for me. I’m glad I made money, in other words. And I’m glad I got married.”

The couple got married in 2000 at Skibo Castle in Scotland.

They announced their divorce in 2008 and finalized it by 2009.

Since the divorce, the two has moved on.

He has a model girlfriend named Jacqui Ainsley and they welcomed a baby boy in September.

Madonna is now dating a younger guy, 24 years her junior to be exact named Brahim Zaibat.
