Andrea Mclean lost a stone on a cabbage soup dietLoose Women star Andrea Mclean looks so confident in posing nude on the newest issue of Closer magazine.

The 42-year-old star admits she feels more confident now than before.

She lost weight, from size 14 to 10 on a cabbage soup diet.

She shared that she lost a stone.

Andrea embraces her figure in a boudoir-style shoot and candidly admits that she is nervous.

“I feel a lot more body confident now than I did in my 30′s. I think there is something about hitting your 40′s when you think, ‘The pressure’s off, I’m not going to be like Cindy Crawford, but I’m very happy to look like me.”

“When posing like this was suggested, my instinct was to shy away. But I will not have many more opportunities to do these kind of photos at my age, so I decided to go for it!”

She opened up on her near-death experience that made her look at life in a more positive way.

Andrea had an allergic reaction taking an antibiotic after an operation of umbilical hernia.

“I know life is really too short not to throw caution to the wind, so I’m going to enjoy it. One day it will be lovely to look up and say, ‘You were quite sexy once Andrea!’

She said, “I could not breathe at all. It was like my air was slowly being cut off. It was absolutely terrifying, but the worst thing was seeing the panic on Steve’s face. I felt unconscious and yes, Steve believed he had lost me.”

“But in the grand scheme of things, it was half an hour absolute awfulness, and thankfully, they were able to control the reaction with adrenaline and oxygen.”

Andrea also shared that after the operation, it made her more confident with her body and at the same time, stopped the pain, bloating and being uncomfortable.

“The best thing is that I am not in pain anymore, but also I have now a flat stomach gain, like before I had my kids. I am no longer afraid to take off my clothes in front of Steve. Of course he never minded, he loves me regardless, but having a bit of self-confidence does wonders.”

“I had worried on how my tummy would look, but it’s amazing. I now have a very neat T-shaped scar which runs across my lower abdomen like Caesarean scar. You can hardly see it.”
