Its a good year for rapper Kanye West.
He got seven nominations on the Grammy Awards from his new album, ‘My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy’ and his collaboration with Jay-Z, ‘Watch the Throne.’
British Singer Adele and R&B artist Bruno Mars is not far behind as they had six nominations.
Mars told the reporters, “It feels incredible right now”
“I’m so glad the album is being recognized this way. This awards stuff, I’m still trying to get used to it. It’s hard for me as Adele and Kanye West are incredible, so the fact that the album is nominated with the same category is amazing.”
US Alternative Rock band Foo Foo fighters also had six nominations. Lil Wayne and Skrillex had five nominations.
The artists who had four nominations are Nicki Minaj, Rihanna,Mumford & Sons Radioheads and Bon Iver.
The 54th Annual Grammy Awards Ceremony will be on February 12 and will be held at the Los Angeles Staples Center.
It is definitely a positive note to the 34-year-old rapper after his self-imposed hiatus in 2009.
He recorded his new album in Hawaii in which he stayed there after receiving negative criticisms on his outburst to Taylor Swift at the 2009 MTV Music Awards.
Kanye already won 14 Grammy Awards on his belt.
He is nominated now on categories of Song of the Year,Best Rap/Song Collaboration, Best Rap Song and Best Rap Album.
