Is Chris Paul transferring to New York Knicks? There has been rumors going on that Chris Paul wants to be traded to New York Knicks.

But according to Hornets General manager Dell Demps, he said he will not believe it until he hears it from Chris Paul himself.

He also added that his main goal was for a contract extension for the basketball star.

Chris Paul was interviewed last Thursday while practicing with his current teammates. He said that the trade-off request are just rumors.

“You can’t control it. It’s always going to happen. It’s part of the game. I’m happy to be back on my team.”

“I don’t think about it, to tell you the truth. I’m just ready to get out here and compete and hoop.”

“This is what I do, and I love it.”

He added, “I have a very tight circle and they know this whole lockout thing has been driving me nuts. So I’m just ready to get out here on the court and compete. This is the way that I express myself, by playing basketball, so I can’t wait to get out there.”

A friend of Chris, Olympic teammate, Carmelo Anthony said that he is not the one who persuades Chris to transfer on Knicks.

“I’m not involved with that process. No way. ”

He added that the decision should be from Paul.

Carmelo said, “We are very close friends. I’m pretty sure you saw him out here in New York a lot.”

“Due to the players meeting and stuff like that, we hung out, but we never had any conversations about him coming to New York. That’s something that I would leave up to him and his family and I’m staying away from that.”

On what he suggested to Chris, Carmelo said, “One thing I did tell him was just make the best decision for you and your family.”

Chris Paul said he is just happy to be able to play basketball after the NBA lockout.

“I’ve got to be the happiest person right now just to be back in the gym, getting a chance to work out with a couple of my teammates.”
