NBA to open five games on December 25Good news for NBA fans.

On the Christmas opener, they will add two more games.

Oklahoma Magic at  Orlando Thunder, Los Angeles Clippers at Golden State Warriors,  which is a total of five games.

The original games that was set are Boston at New York, Miami at Dallas and Chicago on Los Angeles Lakers.

After the NBA lock out the new labor deal was announced last November 26.

Another news that was announced is Mark Jackson is the new Warriors coach.

Chicago Bulls Luol Deng told ESPN, “Everyone is looking for first the game like it’s a championship game.”

“We’re excited. It’s 66 games this season. I think were going to be prepared –just not going on that first game and that’s it. We want to come out ready. But it’s 66 games we’ve got to look forward to.”

For ESPN analyst Jeff Van Gund, the season will be an exciting and unique match.

“It’s a different opening day than has ever happened in the past and Christmas Day games has always been a big day for NBA.”

“This unique situation combined with the unveiling championship banner for the Mavericks in the final rematch, and then to see the Lakers and the debut of Mike Brown as head coach, those things are all very compelling.”

The remaining issues for the lock out to that will be negotiated are the drug testing, the draft eligibility age and the commissioner’s power of discipline.

If they finish all the negotiations on Wednesday both sides will have the voting this Thursday.

December 9 is the tentative date for training camps and free agency to open.
