It’s a sad time for the Duggars family.

On her regular pre-natal check up appointment, Michelle Duggar was given the sad news that she suffered a miscarriage in her second trimester.

It is supposed to be their 20th child together with husband Jim Bob Duggar.

On that check-up they are looking forward to know the sex of their baby.

Jim told E! news, “Michelle is resting comfortably at home with the support of the entire family. We are grateful for all the thoughts and prayers but we ask for privacy during this difficult time.”

Michelle told People, “We had just been talking about the baby names last night, and they were getting excited about naming a boy or girl, It has been a real sad disappointment ..I feel like my heart broke telling my children. They have been so excited about this baby and looking forward to April coming around and having a new little one in our arms. That was the most difficult. The Lord is the giver of life and he can choose when that life is ready to go on and be with Him.”

This is the second time Michelle had her miscarriage. It was way back in 1980′s for her second child.

Their 19th baby, Josie Brooklyn was born four months premature. She is now 2 years old. Josie only weighed 1 pound and 6 ounces at birth. For her to recover, she had to be in the hospital for four months so that she can be healthy.

They have a show, 19 Kids and Counting on TLC.
