Is Lamar Odom trades to New Orleans Hornets?Lamar Odom was shocked after being nearly traded to the Hornets.

He is still a Laker, but he was quite shocked and surprised after the near trade-off.

Odom told the press that he knew last Thursday afternoon that he was to be traded in Hornets as a result of  a deal with Chris Paul.

When the deal was shut down, he was honest enough to air out about the new developments.

It was supposed to be a three team deal. Paul was coming to Lakers, Odom to Hornets and Gasol to Rockets.

Luis Scola, Kevin Martin, and Goran Dragic will be the draft pick to Hornets.

NBA commisioner David Stern that the reason for the trade did not go through was because they rejected Paul for ‘basketball reasons.’

Odom said in a phone interview in The Times, “I guess that means I’m a Laker if the trade did not go through. I don’t know what to do for the Lakers. I’m even weirded out by the league doing what they did. I don’t know what to do.”

“And then it doesn’t go through. Oh Lord, I don’t know what I’m going to do. I’ll pray about it.”

The Lakers will start practicing this Friday in El Segundo.

“Maybe I’ll see you there tomorrow at practice. But I doubt it. You don’t want to go to no place you’re not wanted. I’ll try to give them what they want as much as possible.”

Odom also shared that he feels bad for Pau. He said, “Imagine how Pau feels. Pau came to Lakers and played here for four years, went to the finals and lost, won two NBA championships and then got swept by the Dallas Mavericks this year.Wow! Imagine how he must feel.”

Lastly, he said, “Man, I’m just in total belief about all of this. They don’t want my services, for whatever reason. I don’t know what I’m supposed to do. I was proud to be a Laker, so I’ll try to help them in the process as much as possible.”
