Facebook had released their new Timeline feature to the public Tonight. The main concept the new Facebook timeline offers is a visual history of the user’s profile which is similar to a scrapebox or a historical time line.
Facebook reported that they will slowly show notifications to users on their accounts, inviting them to update their timeline and edit it. Users who rather not wait can simply browse to https://www.facebook.com/about/timeline and initiate their timeline now.
Facebook, being the world largest social network, has over 800 million users and this change is said to impact each and every one of them.
Users have been given 7 days to go into their profiles and prune any non-wanted images and photos before they automatically become part of their timeline starting next week.
If you are a facebook user and you do have photos and information on it, we strongly recommend you login and update/delete any images you don’t want others to see on your timeline.
Will the Facebook timeline be yet another hit from the Facebook makers? Time will tell…
