New Jersey Nets lose against Altlanta Hawks for final home openerOn their final home opener, New Jersey Nets lost on their game against Atlanta Hawks.

The score was 106 for Atlanta and 70 for the Nets.

The Prudential Center was fully packed and energized to support the team but quickly quieted down when Atlanta dominated the game.

It is the first official game since Chicago Bulls eliminated them on the Eastern Conference Semifinals last May.

The crowd supported Kris Humphries even after the opposing fans in New York and Washington was negative about him after his 72 days marriage with reality star with Kim Kardashian.

He got a loud ovation from his fans during his introduction.

Later on, he joked that some fans may also boo him. He said, “Maybe if that’s what they think to motivates me, they will do it.”

Coach Avery seems sad about their poor performance.

He said about the energy of the building, “Oh man, that’s why I feel bad. This was a great crowd. I mean, great crowd. Into the game, holiday season. And we come out with a poor performance. Hopefully they will give us another chance. ”

He added, “I think if our players were in the stands, they probably would have booed us.”

Coach Avery also talked about his player, Deron Williams who only had 10 points and 1 assist.

“He gets trapped and then we get the ball and hold it. The ball should be moving like a hot potato, but it has that Stickum on it.”

It is a disappointing for two straight nights for the Nets as they struggled mightily and fell behind, 8-0.

Williams shared, “We are learning how to fly, We still don’t have the concept of defense. We are still making a lot of defense , and our flaws are going to show up against teams that had been together for years now.”

Josh Smith from Atlanta Hawk talked about their team and said, “Defensively we were active. Everyone was active. Even when the bench came in, they were active.”
