Madonna graced the show 20/20 and talked about Lady Gaga being compared to her.

She was interviewed by host Cynthia Fadden.

Cynthia asked her if she thinks Lady gaga is copying her.

Madonna said, “She’s a very talented artist. I certainly thinks she refers to me a lot on her work. And sometimes I think its amusing and flattering and well done.”

“Her songs seem to be a statement about taking something that was in Zeitgeist, you know, 20 years ago and turning it inside out and reinterpreting it.”

“There’s a lot of ways to look at it. I can’t really be annoyed by it, because obviously, I have influenced her.”

When she heard the song of Gaga, ‘Born This Way, she said, “When I heard it on the radio, I said, ‘That’s sounds familiar.”

McFadden then asked if it was okay with her, she said, “It felt reductive.”

Last year, in an interview, Gaga revealed her love with Madonna’s music.

She said, “I genuinely love her so much. I think she is so amazing. She could never be replicated, yes, I’m Italian, I’m from New York, and not for nothing, it’s not my fault that I kind of look like her, right?”

“So look, if anything, it’s more annoying to me that people would insinuate that I don’t like to be compared by her. She’s so wonderful and inspiring and liberating and she’s certainly inspired my album, as did David Bowie, as did Prince, as did Michael Jackson, as did Grace Jones, and I would never take that way.”

The two is always compared with each other but they seem to be in good terms as they have been pictured together from time to time and even had a catfight skit in Saturday Night Live.
