Kim Kardashian received a lot of harsh criticisms when she decided to divorce her husband Kris Humphries after just 72 days.

She co-hosted with Kelly Rippa on Live with Kelly and she admitted that she was taken a back by the negative response she had.

Kim said, “It’s been a hard couple of months.”

She also explained that the marriage was not all for a show.

“If you really think about it, if this was a business decision and I really made all that money that everyone was claiming that we made off this wedding, and if the wedding was fake and just for TV, I’m a smart businesswoman, I would have stayed married longer.”

Kim then added, “I really did not think that following my heart would create this much backlash. ”

The reality star said that she tried everything to make her marriage work with husband Kris Humphries.

“I want that forever love, and I feel it in my heart that this is not right, then why wait years to have the same result.”

Kim also shared that when she decided to split with Kris she packed, two pairs of sweatpants and a pair of pyjamas and went to her mother immediately after soul-searching.

The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star also revealed that she has not given up on love.

“I think I learned that I just need to rewrite my own fairytale.”

Kim appears to be excited on being part of Kelly Ripa’s show.

She tweeted, “Going Live with @LiveKelly tune in into ABC east coast.”

Meanwhile, Kelly Ripa has been the only original host after Regis Philbin’s resignation.

She signed a five-year deal to stay with the show and has different co-hosts, guests on the show.

Kim Kardashian wore a red lacy fitting dress for the occasion.
