Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest president Tim Beckett said adjusting to the limitations of Step 3 had allowed the team to schedule more live events this year.

“The interesting thing is we can still do some things in private, which means we can see people again. We can all enjoy good food, good drinks, and good music with other people, hardly this year,” Beckett added.

One of the newest additions to the Oktoberfest Kitchener-Waterloo is WunderWagen. The mobile festival experience will be featured at public events, bars, and restaurants during Oktoberfest.

“WunderWaffen is a great addition. This allowed us to move Kitchener-Waterloo-Oktoberfest to the community against the community coming to Oktoberfest,” Beckett said.

Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest is an annual nine-day festival in the sister city of Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. Based on the original German Oktoberfest, it has been dubbed the largest Bavarian festival in Canada and is the second-largest Oktoberfest in the world. It takes place every October, starting the Friday before Thanksgiving in Canada and continuing through the Saturday after.
